How can I learn more about my copier(s)?
| 1. Refer to an operators manual. These can be obtained from us.
2. Train more than one office worker to replace paper and toner.
3. Jamming check all areas; remove all paper (do not tear); make sure all doors, sorters and levers are returned to their correct position; if codes occur turn machine off and on to reset.
4. F1 sorter problems: check all bins for position, loose paper, pens, paper clips, staples, etc.; make sure sorter is aligned and attached, turn machine off and on to reset.
5. H4 fuser sections, usually from jamming or failure to reinstall fuser completely.
6. H5 excessive jams to reset (clear, interrupt 0, interrupt 14, print).
7. U6 paper empty: check behind trays for skewed paper, reload cassettes, flip, fan paper, do not overload.

How can I improve the quality of my copies?
| 1. Make sure originals are of good quality.
2. Clean glass with an antistatic, recommended cleaner.
3. Keep document feeder belt clean.
4. On digital copiers, keep slit glass clean.
5. Pyramid or Triangle right side up in tray means add toner, upside down in tray means waste toner needs to be empty.
6. Maintenance required lights machine is in need of routine maintenance and cleaning. It should still be operational, if not attempt to identify another problem.

How can I learn more about my fax machine?
| 1. Refer to an operators manual. These can be obtained from us.
2. Train more than one office worker to replace paper and toner.
3. "OPC" LIFE OVER (replace drum), REPLACE TONER, OR DV (order from supplies).
4. "RESET TONER COUNTER" or "TONER" or "DV" after replacing consumables.
5. Some models require the counter to be reset. It is located beneath the rapid-dial keypad. The "LIFE" button can be reached by lifting the panel. Follow prompts.
6. Lines on copies, confirmations of incoming faxes usually mean that the drum needs to be replaced.
7. Ring no answer (turn off distinctive ring) or check settings Auto/Manual modes and make sure it is set in Auto mode.
8. "PAPER EMPTY" reload all paper cassettes. Do not overload. Use only recommended paper.
9. "Subs RX" indicates a size error. Either the sender is transmitting a fax for which you do not have the appropriate size paper loaded or their document feed lid is not closed securely.
10. Distorted text close cover securely.
11. "NO DIAL TONE" check phone jack on the wall with a phone.
12. "COMBINE ERRORS" trouble with phone line between the two parties.
